VITASOY INT'L CEO: Firm Open to Potential Biz Collaborations

VITASOY INT'L (00345.HK) CEO Roberto Guidetti said in an interview with Bloomberg Television that the company is open to potential business collaboration opportunities.

The company has not initiated or actively sought collaboration opportunities, but it remains open to reviewing existing opportunities, Guidetti noted. He also mentioned that others being interested in the company and recognizing its future potential is a good thing.

On November 21, Singaporean tycoon Robert Ng's younger brother, Philip Ng, increased his stake in VITASOY INT'L from 11.87% to 12.26%, sparking speculation of a potential acquisition.

VITASOY INT'L once surged 32% this morning, marking the largest single-day increase since the company went public in 1994. VITASOY INT'L executive chairman Winston Lai declined to comment on Ng's motives at the results conference and was unaware of his intentions. Ng has also not publicly commented on the increase in his stake.
